It is well structured but it lacks coding exercises and challenges. It's mainly focused on theory.

I am near the end of the first module. While the exercises and quizes repeat important skills repeatedly just enough, the reading and video sections are very bad. They are clearly all written by AI, you can see it because of the repeated phrases, and using fancy exciting words with little value. This just distracts and confuses beginners. As an experienced programmer, I noticed lot of mistakes, that mislead beginners - this AI product was clearly not reviewed by a person. As a result, I just skimmed over unnecessary text, focused on the sections in bold font, and played with exercises, to learn basic Python syntax. For beginners, I cannot recommend this course.

"This item will be unlocked when the schedule begins." Never mind that this is a self-directed at-your-own-pace training, substantial amounts of material are locked out. Microsoft has nobody you can contact for assistance and the Coursera chatbots are no help. Read the forums - this is a common issue and there is no answer for it. Why?

I love python and this course provides a robust introduction to the power programming has to offer and how easy it has become to learn and understand. I recommend that the wordiness of the videos be optimized and that programming examples be incorporated into the videos when describing each component being discussed. More of a show and tell than just people speaking at too much length. Otherwise, I found the course wonderfully enriching and can't wait to do the next course associated with the certificate. I love being a pythonista - or being a wannabe!

Wonderful! Well curated course which covers everything in quite detail. I've undertaken dozens of courses online for Python and none of them have come close to this one. This course is well structured and focuses on the tools and skillsets one needs to kickstart their journey in Python. I had a truly wonderful time learning with this course, kudos to the team!
