I recently completed the Business Writing & Technical Writing Immersion course, and it was an insightful and practical experience. The course is well-structured, balancing both theoretical concepts and practical applications.

Precise and clear teaching. I wanted more example paragraphs to read.

I found this course helpful in some ways. I definitely learned something new. However, this was disappointing for the following reasons: 1. It is very surface level knowledge overall and the content can be found in most traditional entry-level courses in free platforms. 2. Some of the materials were not free to read (you could alternatively summarize the material and quote heavily in a coursera reading). 3. All videos have an objective and recap section. This can be helpful when absorbing complex ideas and after different stages of the course. However, there are videos where this feels redundant. 4. This course features virtually no technical writing educational material. Some of it can be passed of as technical writing, but it is misldeading to label the course as a tech writing immersion course. You can't have your cake and call it tech writing too. I thrashed this course. I need to clarify I am no expert, but had high hopes as an intermediate writer myself. I can tell the instructor is well intentioned and tried to provide the best instructional experience. I can see this course benefitting from his expertise with additional content and dismissing the tech writing label altogether.
